FOOTBALL
The Red Knights have partnered with Pottstown Area PAL and have joined the Independent Youth Football League (IYFL). This league will consist of 15 teams, forming 3 divisions. Each team will play a full regular season (4 home and 4 away), and there will be 3 playoff games.
Additionally, there will also be an opportunity for the winners of our league to advance to regional and national championships. National championships will be held in Orlando, Florida.
FOOTBALL
2022 Red Knights Football season will now have 5 different divisions. Please note there are a few small changes from previous years. Travel to away games will vary but could be 1 hour:
Flag Football - There will continue to be a Flag Football team for all children 7 and under.
7U Tackle - Previously referred to as the "Rookies". This division will now include children 7 and Under. Additionally, this will now be 11 vs. 11, a change from the previous 7 vs. 7.
9U Tackle - Previously referred to as the "Sophomores". This division will include children 9 and Under.
11U Tackle - Previously referred to as the "Juniors". This division will include children 11 and Under.
13U Tackle - Previously referred to as the "Seniors". This division will include children 13 and Under.
Practices are planned to start the first week of August, and the first games will be the Saturday BEFORE Labor Day.
League Age determination - Player's age On or Before July 31 of the season
CHEERLEADING
The cheerleading squads that accompany the football teams will play a full regular season (4 home and 4 away) and there could be up to 3 league playoff games. Travel to away games will vary but could be 1 hour.

COACHING & VOLUNTEERING
At registration, parents have the option of selecting to volunteer, either as a coach or more generally. Coaching assignments are not guaranteed but decided by the Program Director in coordination with the Executive Director and Executive Board, in accordance with our Background Check Policy.

You must receive PAL approval before commencing duties as a coach. Please reach out if you need assistance with either process.
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
Financial assistance and payment plans are available for all Pottstown Area PAL programs. Parents must fill out an application form. Please CLICK HERE to download, print, and complete the application. Please attach the required documentation with the application submission. You may mail or deliver a hard copy of the application to the PAL office or scan and email the entire application with required documents to: pottstownpaldirector@gmail.com.
Assistance is offered based on availability and need, with guidelines to be determined by the organization. Acceptance is at the organization’s discretion. Continuation of assistance is dependent upon adherence to behavioral and attendance expectations.
